National Writers Union

The National Writers Union was founded in 1981 to give writers the resources we all need to make a living, especially contract advice and grievance. We are an activist organization that believes in working together and sharing information. Our resources come from pooling information and speaking out collectively. We represent a wide range of writers, including academic writers, app content writers, copywriters, ghostwriters, bloggers, book authors, business/technical writers, e-book writers, editors, Escritores en Español, journalists, translators, web content writers, and more.

The Tucson Chapter of the NWU represents writers in Tucson and Southern Arizona. We host a monthly Reading and Open Mic.

We also stand in solidarity with the labor movement and other unions.
