Sister Brittany will discuss Local 11’s success expanding community-based bargaining and their recent victory in winning contract language that requires hotels to notify employees when ICE will be present at the properties and excuses employees from work when ICE is on site. How can we utilize community-based expanded bargaining strategies to help build stronger unions, broader coalitions and protect communities from ICE’s ever increasing militarized aggression?
