Puppy World in Marana has closed, a victory for animal activists! As a result, SPEAK’s December schedule of protests has changed as follows:
Saturday, 12/5
Puppy mill-issue protest by SPEAK (Supporting & Promoting Ethics for the Animal Kingdom) and Harley’s Heroes (Harley’sDream.org). 10:30 A.M. – NOON: protest against Animal Kingdom; Oracle Road at Wetmore Road. Animal Kingdom, located in the Tucson Mall, sources its puppies from factory-farm-style puppy mill operations. Our campaign, now intensified during the holiday shopping season, will encourage the public to boycott this store and all puppy/kitten/bunny retailers (including on-line) and adopt from shelters and rescue groups instead.
