Note from the Author: “My name is Nico Lang, and I’m a longtime LGBTQ+ journalist, as well as the author of the recently released book, American Teenager, which documents the lives of trans kids and their loved ones in seven different states. My goal was to speak back to extreme anti-trans rhetoric about youth by showing trans young people as they actually are: powerfully human. I’ve been touring the country for the past 17 months to bring their voices and stories to as many communities as possible, and as part of that work, I’ll be in Tucson on Saturday, March 14 — for a reading/Q&A at Rincon UCC. The event should start around 3:00pm.”
