Join the ACLU of Arizona and DeFlock Tucson on Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00a-12:00p, for an educational presentation and action steps on Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) and how to advocate in your community to ensure transparency, accountability, and privacy are prioritized by your elected officials.
In this workshop, you’ll learn…
- What ALPRs are, how they’re used, who has access to your data, and how to protect your privacy;
- How local governments/law enforcement agencies in Arizona use these AI-powered ALPRs to monitor, track, and document millions of data points of you and your community — all while you’re just driving around like normal;
- How to identify different ALPR brands (Flock, Axon, Motorola);
- Ways to reduce your exposure and find out if you’ve been targeted;
- And, what you can do to end mass surveillance contracts in your community.
