DESCRIPTION:The three biggest electric utilities in Arizona are trying to build more nuclear plants in Arizona.  \n  Russell Lowes will be giving a presentation on why nuclear energy is not a reasonable way to proceed for Arizona and the U.S. It is not practical on a cost basis nor an ecological basis. He will explain how the nuclear energy option is the biggest threat of all the energy sources to the true clean energy transition of solar\, energy efficiency\, energy storage and management\, and other renewables. \n   At the Sierra Club Arizona/Grand Canyon Chapter meeting of the Energy & Climate Action Team\, he will discuss the cradle to grave costs\, aka lifecycle costs\, what each step is\, and how it works. \n   You can join this Zoom meeting at 6:30 pm this Tuesday\, July 28th. There will be some other items on the agenda\, and the presentation will be about a half hour\, including questions and answers from anyone attending.
